Which team has the worst fans? Tue, September 18, 2007
Hours before the evening’s first pitch, there’s playoff-race excitement in the Florida Marlins’ clubhouse: The television is tuned to a game at Wrigley Field.
Dontrelle Willis sits at his locker, ignoring the TV and the buzz generated by the capacity crowd in Chicago.
“Can we win tonight?” Willis pleads to no one in particular. “Puh-leeze?”
Which team has the worst fans? Have your say in our forum.
I went to a game in Miami in June a few years ago with a buddy and we paid $20 for second deck seats. If there were even 10,000 fans at that game, I would have been shocked, and they were unbelievably quiet. Halfway through the game, half of the fans had already left, so we walked down to the prime seats behind home plate and the security guard just waved us through since he didn't care where we sat. Real shame, it's a nice city and a great stadium, but the fan support just isn't there.

Leafs fans are the worst!

I remember living in Calgary before the Flames made it to the Cup finals. The hockey fans in the city were so fickle, and they showed very little support for the team. But, once they made the finals, all of a sudden people jumped on the band wagon, and all the media could say was how the city had the best fans in the league. They aren't the worst fans, but this type of fan annoys me. I saw it again in Buffalo with the Sabres.
