Will the Leafs make the playoffs? Wed, September 26, 2007
The Toronto Maple Leafs are skating into the NHL season with a new mindset and it is going to make a difference.
A year ago, they set their collective goal low. They talked about having to plug away in a dogfight for a playoff spot and, with injuries playing no small role, they fell just short for the second year in a row.
I HATE THE LEAFS WHO CARES!!!

As a HABS fans - this to me is a funny question... since the Leafs haven't won in, oh.., several decades and it's 2007.. I'm not sure. With global warming probably bringing on the end of the world by 3013 - then I'd say the Leafs aren't running out of time - they should get at least one or two Cups by then.

The clock really started ticking faster when John Ferguson Jr. was hired! Of course they are running out of time with the current roster as a result of Ferguson's mismanagement. I think Paul Maurice could do wonders with a team of better acquisitions. But he has to work with what he has. A no win situation and another season of missing the playoffs barring some miracle.

Are the Leafs running out of time? How about the long suffering fans who don't get paid a dime for their loyalty? I was 10 years old the last time the Leafs won and appeared in a Stanley Cup Final. I will be 51 years old this season. Time is running out on us too! Will I have to wait until I'm 100 to see the next Stanley Cup???
