Should Glaus be suspended if he used steroids?
Fri, September 7, 2007

The same Florida-based pharmacy that allegedly prescribed a year's worth of Human Growth Hormone to St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Rick Ankiel, also prescribed steroids for Blue Jays third baseman Troy Glaus, according to a Sports Illustrated investigative report.

The SI report alleges Glaus, then with the Anaheim Angels, received multiple shipments of steroids through an internet distribution network over a seven-month period, from September 2003 until May 2004. The four-time All-Star received Nandrolone and testosterone, according to the report.

Report: Jay ordered steroids

wayne you are killing me with your bs stories LMAO. You are always good for a laugh or 2 every day LOL.

Oh and mike one other thing I learned about testing for illegal substance from a golf game I had with Donavan Bailey at a charity golf game. You have to be able to identify the substance found in the test. If you can't identify it, you can't say whether its illegal or not. They are constantly developing new drugs that no one is aware of yet, so they don't know what they are when they test. Carl lewis apperently had tons of stuff in his sample when Ben johnson was nabbed, they just didn't know what it was so they couldn't say it was banned. Ben just had old stuff.

I haven't heard much done either Mike. But the article i have put the short cut to in previous, if you copy it and paste it and go to it, it has them signing that agreement. I have heard bonds repeatedly say in baseball interviews in the past year, he has passed repeated drug tests. So someone is doing them. The player I also cited was a pitcher that was suspended and he wasn't in the minors. It said he was the third. Just going off what I read. Do you really think baseball wants to catch their own and give themselves a black eye. They are just giving the illusion that they are which has got them some negative press too.

Simple concept: if you break the rules, then you should face the consequences, as laid out in the rules.

Of course, MLB overlooked the steriod problem for so long, so what good are the rules?

To Wayne

I have to agree with Jimmy. I dont recall there being any agreement between the players and the owners about testing for drugs.

IF there is an agreement in place why arent these players being suspended ?

I have heard of players in the minors being suspended for performance enchancing drugs so if there is a agreement with the big leagues there should be alot of players being suspended which there isnt.

That doesnt make any sense to me at all.

I have always backed up my points with sound facts. You say things you make up and think its fact cuz it came from you LOL.

You must have a short term memory problem because you were the one that started with the insults first so I gave it right back to you and embarrassed you so you stopped LMAO.

People stop making comments to you because you dont make any sense and always go off the topic to things you want to talk about but the rest of us dont LOL.

Joanne figured you out when she called you crazy in the news comment section LOL, just like I did along time ago LOL.

Say something intelligent for a change if you can or go back to playing with your maps and pieces of string lil boy LMAO.
Jimmy, 2007-09-24 12:00:32

Yet there is Bud selig the president and Donald Fehr the Union head signing a strict drug policy in 2005. But you say it never happened.

I don't cry about insults, i just say that's all you do. You don't bring anything intelligent to any discussion, only insults when someone disagrees with you. No proof, no facts, only insults. I'm not here to trade insults. 8-year-olds do that. So I ignore you, like others appear to do. After repeated insults, I stooped to your level for fun, it wasn't fun, so i stopped.
wayne, 2007-09-24 08:18:47

wayne you could have cut and pasted the important parts of the story, 6 pages is too long.

here you go again crying that I insult you, I have never claimed once when you insult me. IF you cant take the heat stay out of the kitchen, its that simple.

Jimmy, 2007-09-23 12:13:45

wayne the only baseball players being suspended for using steroids are in the minor leagues, thats because there isnt any deal between the players union and owners letting them be tested. Players cant and wouldnt be tested without an agreement in place, union would go crazy if any player was even asked to be tested.
Jimmy, 2007-09-21 15:28:56

Jimmy I have started ignoring you when you get insulting but this one is for fun

1) Your off topic as you like to put it

2) You just quoted one writers name, no story, why when I do two is it wrong?

3)The story was 6 pages long, this forum is small, you could have looked it up though

4) The story below has a nice picture of the head of the players union signing the collective bargain with the baseball president on random testing for drugs
