Is this the end for the WWE ? Thu, August 30, 2007
World Wrestling Entertainment has suspended 10 of its wrestlers for violations of a policy that tests for steroids and other drugs, the company said Thursday.
Stamford-based WWE says it issued suspension notices based on independent information from the prosecutor’s office in Albany County, N.Y., which has been investigating illegal steroid sales.
Should the WWE have done this earlier? Share your thoughts in our forum.
it's hard to believe that people actually spend their time and money on such tasteless filth.

It shocked me when the news broke about the murder of Benoits' wife and son. It sickened me when the WWE did a tribute to this so called "hero". I was a casual watcher of the WWE but since they chose to honor a killer I will never watch their garbage again! It definately sent the wrong message to the younger viewers.

what benoit did is wrong we do not know what really took place very sad steroids have been in use for years in all sports and sports entertainment and will never end could you see a 110 pound wrestler with no muscel as the champion get real if not for benoit you would not give it a second thought

What kills me is how many people "used" to be fans in the old days. Wake up kids, those were the days of the drugs and alcohol use. Hogan, Savage, even Bret Hart admitted to it. SO while your role models looked good on TV, know that they weren't any better than the WWE stars of today.

First of all lets get 1 thing straight, WWE isnt a sport, its entertainment.
Secondly yes I think McMahon has something to do with the wrestlers using steroids. I would bet McMahon even uses, he is pretty big for someone his age.
All McMahon thinks about is how much money he can make by having the wrestlers work pretty much all year round. He doesnt think about there health by them using steroids or from burning out by wrestling most of the year. It doesnt matter what you do for a living, everyone needs time away to relax and spend time with family and friends.
If the WWE survives this mess I Hope McMahon has little to do with running it for the wrestlers health and well being.

I agree with much of what's been said. Basically, the idiotic schedule and unrealistic standards put on the athletes by both the management (mainly Vince McMahon) and us fans have contributed largely to steroid (and other illegal drug) use. It needs to be stopped to avoid other incidents like the Eddie Guerrero and (particularly) Chris Benoit episodes.
One thing needs to be clear up, though: has Vince been using the juice. After all, he's not that young, and look at the man!

If wrestling is from the land of make believe. Why should it matter if one of there actors are on steroids. It's not like their breaking real sport records.

Sick of reading comments from moronic non-fans who don't know what they're talking about. You stick to your 'real' sports. Anyway, I hope this latest scandal leads to massive change in the business, including lighter schedules and a massive drop in death rate.
