Was Towers right to bean A-Rod? Tue, August 7, 2007
Toronto Blue Jays starter Josh Towers hit New York Yankees all-star Alex Rodriguez in the left knee, prompting both dugouts to clear as bad blood between the teams spilled over Tuesday night.
It's okay. Towers won't be with the Blue Jays next year.
His career is fading away, while A-Rod is a superstar.

most cowardly act in sports. I don't like something some one did so I take a hard object and throw it at him to try hurt him. Maybe he should pull his hair too and scratch his eyes. At least hockey, two guys fight. Baseball is stand 90 feet away and throw something.

I would prefer to see someone attempt to steal third on A Rod and run him like they do the catchers when he attempts to tag the runner out. A forearm across the bridge of the nose might smarten him up.

Towers should have beaned A-Rod WHEN the teams played in the Bronx zoo.
He was correct in nailing him though.

Yes he was and they should have let Stairs get to A - Rod and kick the crap out of him. Old time hockey style
mike, 2007-08-08 08:34:17
Yes and no. Yes because Arod disrespected the Jays but no because you know whoever is pitching for the Yankees will hit a Jay so it all evens out in the end.

Damn right! Throw at him each game until he learns some respect for opponents and the game of baseball.

It's about time Towers does SOMETHING useful

Josh Towers is a Hot Head, I'm sure he was yapping behind a couple of Bigger Jays so as not get hurt by Alex Rodriguez. Towers will be gone before the end of the Season !
