Who did the best at the MLB trade deadline? Tue, July 31, 2007
The Red Sox, who entered Tuesday leading the AL East by eight games over the New York Yankees, didn't want to take any chances of blowing their big lead and acquired closer Eric Gagne to bolster the back end of their bullpen.
The Rangers were the busiest team in the majors before Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET non-waiver trade deadline. Earlier, they completed the deal that sent Teixeira and pitcher Ron Mahay to the Braves for rookie catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia and four minor leaguers.
Is the US Congress investiagtion completed yet ? I can tell that no it isnt. Only then will we know what the consequences will be for players caught using illegal substances.
Hows that for an explanation you genius LOL.

Texas did the best. They were out of the race so they picked up a lot of good, young talent.

Just went on MLB website. Looked up Rafael Palmeiro's stats and records. They were still there. I'm confused. He actually was caught by testing positive for steroids. Please Geniuses, EXPLAIN.

The Red Sox acquiring Eric Gagne to bolster the bullpen was an excellent move. With Okajima, one of today's premier setup men, and Papelbon as one of the best closer's in the game, Gagne can only make the 2007 edition of the Boston Red Sox even more lethal. If the Red Sox bats can continue to light up the scoreboards as they have been doing in the past weeks, the eight game that the Red Sox enjoy over the Yankees will expand into double digits and it may be just a matter of months before David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, and company bring a second World Series Championship in three years to Boston. It's nice to see the fine people of Boston being treated to a winning team on the field...a winning team that has serious potential to win it all again this year.
