Just young guys having a good time,no big deal.police obviously have little to do around this small town. great guys watched them both in Peterborough !!

Not at all. It's a bachelor party. I may think them a bit stupider with beer injection. But they might have been wiser and have had the bachelor party in Peterborough, where they are untouchable.

Boys with lots of $$ do dumb things

I remember a young fellow named Pronger who at a young age ran into a similiar situation in Hartford. I believe he has moved on quite well as I would expect the Staals will as well. They are extremely talented hockey players and first class individuals. A noisy party hardly warrants this kind of coverage.....

A bachelor party...the residents and hotel smurk and make a joke of it... but the Sun splashes headlines that go way overboard. Get a real story!

Just some boys out having fun. There were no fights or nothing wrecked. No one got hurt.no one slanderd the police or anything like that.If they were not hockey stars nothing would never got into the press.Let the story rest.My batchelor party never got in the media.
Bob Reid, 2007-07-26 08:46:10

Definitely not! They should like a couple of good ol' Canadian boys to me! I know plenty of guys who should have been arrested on nights they weren't celebrating anything, let alone a guy's last night of being single with his buddies. They are just two high profile hockey players and if it was anybody else it would barely make the county paper. I do think they should apologize to the hotel however but other than that as long as nothing was broken and no one was hurt... let them get on with their lives!
Marie, 2007-07-26 08:16:25

This is a non-story. Just because they're in the NHL, the press considers it big news. If it's me and my buddies, nobody reads a thing about it. Let them have their fun...

Give the kids a break, they were just havin a bit of fun, and just because their name is "Staal" it's gotta hit the sports news, unbelievable
Tony, 2007-07-26 07:17:43

no way who hasn not had a bit of fun before getting married or drinking at 18 and who said they were one of the perps they might just have been there,
ray, 2007-07-26 06:42:41

Absolutely not!! Being from Thunder Bay, Lutsen is a well know place to go for events like that. They are great kids doing what most others do on their bachelor night - in fact it sounds pretty tame. They just made a youthful indiscretion and their only crime is hockey celebrity. Give the story a rest.
