They are great guys! Totally overblown news reporting. They were in bed sleeping. No one was doing drugs or trashing the place, just have a bachelor party.

Yes, this has changed my opinion of the Staal boys.

Before I thought they were robots, now I realize that they are human.

Boy, I'm glad the media was there to announce it to the world, so it would clear things up for me.

I am surprised that this story is even as big as it is. Yes the Staal brothers are celebrities, but from what I have read about this the brothers were in bed sleeping when the police came back the second time. As for them harassing motorists on the 61 Highway, how much traffic is there at 4:00 am ? This is completely overblown by I guess a slow day for the local police in the resort town. I laugh when I see the police threaten to " deport " them. I guess them cops have a story for there grand kids now, how they picked on a bunch of young guys having a good time at a bachelor party lol. I will admit I drank my first beer at 16 and I am sure lots of others have as well. Drinking under age isnt that big a deal as far as I am concerned as long as they behaved themselves which they were except for being a lil loud. The Staal party werent fighting, doing drugs or trashing the place so I think the police could have handled this with more discretion than they did especially since Eric and Jordan were in bed sleeping.

This arrest has not changed my view of the Staal brothers at all. Eric and Jordan had to be woken up to be kicked off resort property. They had obeyed the police and stopped when first warned. They are good guys and part of me thinks that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's not all their fault that they were arrested. People drinking underage is not an uncommon thing; most people under twenty-one do at one point or another. It just seems like a bit of a slow news week and people are blowing this story way out of proportion. Everyone will forget about this in the next couple days and their careers or images will not be harmed in any way, shape, or form.

Well compared with the stupid antics of NFL and NBA players I would say this incident was mild? Question, what happened to brother Marc Stall? Can it be that the defenseman in the family was fleet of foot and was not apprehended. Well the Rangers ducked a bullet there. See what happens when otherwise good Canandian kids cross the border and get a taste of some really good American Beer? That charity hockey game should make up for all the fuss? By the way where are the Border Patrol agents. Quite a difference between our southern border and our northern one.

Its news...and its dirt on some good guys having a good time - whatever they were doing. Lets stop the BS and leave the guys alone. As long as no one got hurt what's the problem? Go Canes!

Well, I have problems with a few of the statements, if anyone is aware of this part of the Country I have to ask myself how much traffic could there have possibly been on the highway at this time in the morning? maybe someone is out to make a name for themselve and completely blow the situation out of hand. Remember where alot if not the majority of buisness comes from for the Lutsen area, ya that's right Thunder Bay and also remeber where alot of tourist $$$$ come from, ya right Canada. Let's not let the madia as it already has blow something far out of proportion.

What a shame that 14 people that were arrested only the Staal boys names were printed in the paper and they were in bed sleeping when the police came back the second time yet they are taking all the heat for this.

Mick E

I guess Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemeiux, Steve Yzerman, Joe Sakic, Mark Messier, Joe Thorton, Sidney Crosby and a ton more are goons ? That was the stupidest statement I have read yet on the net. It seems you are just jealous of the Staal boys.

Yes, this arrest has changed my opinion of the Staal brothers. Before this I thought they were geeky boys only interested in playing hockey. Now I know they are fun-loving, red-blooded, hockey-playing Canadian boys! Kinda interesting that our Canadian heroes get busted for partying, while the American ones are either being dogged for steroid use or arrrested for dog fighting...
OHL Fan, 2007-07-26 16:33:31

If their last names were not Staal, this would not be news...leave them alone just some boys drinkin beer and having fun no one was hurt.looks like someone had a REALLY slow new day.
