Are golfers juiced? Thu, July 19, 2007 By accident, Gary Player might just be right. There may be golfers all over the world dabbling in banned substances to improve their performances.
We all know it’s happening with regularity in many sports, so why not golf?
I doubt there are very many professional golfers on steroids.
Judging a putt, developing a good golf swing, chipping out of a bunker would not be affected by taking steroids.
Golf is a mental game and being consistent is important.
Steroids wouldn't help in the least.

No I dont thnk that the PGA golfers are juiced. I do think they are working out more and taking care of themselves with a better diet today than they did during Mr.Players era. Also lets not forget how the golf clubs have greatly improved as have the golf balls. There is a big difference between a steel shaft and a graphite shaft. Also the drivers today are metal and the club heads are 2 or 3 times they were 10 years ago making for a bigger sweet spot.

Seems as though Gary Player has played a round or two with Dick Pound. Who knew?

The amount of dollars at stake will off set any notion of total honesty in any sport. The pros will continue to use any advantage to improve their performance and it is totally understandable. Why not allow pros to do what they want? Is it a case of advantage or is it a case of medical reasons? If it is truly medical reasons, then enforce the rules, no exceptions! If it is for advantage, good luck to the enforcers! The bar will always be pushed.
