Have your say about Chris Benoit
Thu, September 13, 2007

Canadian Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday.

Steroid use also has lingered as a theory, since anabolic steroids were found in the home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

Yall do not have to agree with me but this is what is in my gut. I think what they have put in magazines and online about the time of the deaths are wrong. I have that gut feeling that Nancy (wife) killed their son so she could do something. Chris came home to find Nancy screwing around with some other guy and he flipped out, also when he found out that Nancy killed their son. So he then killed her. Chris couldn't live with it so he did what I think anybody would have done and killed himself. After he text message the things that he texted. So I am saying there son was killed first, then Nancy, then Chris. We all know that all these wrestlers use steriods, but they stop them way before the drug test so it won't be in their system. Duh!! I think it is a very sad story. I also don't think it is right for wwe to take down Chris's posters or his webpage if you guys know what I mean.

Well said Ted

Ted, how does holding someone in regard for their professional accomplishments make you sick. Some of the very legends you referred to were boozers and abusers, both of woman and of substance, yet to you they are legends. Why should the Rocket be in the Hall of Fame, he tried to take someones head off with a hockey stick? Then the Canadien fans rioted, should you be sick of all of them?

Watching WWE is no more damaging than professional sports or television/movies. How many children show no respect to officials or parents because their "hero" did the same in the game last night? As someone highly involved in minor baseball those issues are tremendous, far worse than anything shown on WWE.

As for defending him, I am not. But you'll have to forgive me for not fully trusting a law enforcement agency that called the media ahead of time so they could be taped breaking in the door of a doctors office. For some this just doesn't add up, given the testimonials of those that knew him. Just because you accept what you are spoon-fed by the media doesn't mean you should condemn that that do not.

As sick as I am by this murdering lowlife's actions, I am equally sickened by people on this board who blame his "drunk" wife, and/or say he is a "legend". Maurice Richard is a sports legend. Jack Nicklaus is a sports legend. Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Babe Ruth are sports legends. This child-killing loser is a footnote in a non-sport. If you defend him, you need to stop watching that WWE crap and go outside and get some fresh air or something.

Rob, it's a matter of thinking outside the box, because as much as steroids are rampant in pro-wrestling, this type of stuff that I theorized on does also happen. Since when is theorizing placing blame? This has turned from roid rage into a mental illness now. Stick to your lattes and closed minded attitude.

i think that Chris and his family had some real problems, that no one knows about. But when i think of Chris (a loving father and husband) killing 2 very special people in his family and killing himself, i think that he is a sick man.

i mean how could you kill your own son ur fleshen blood ur child. that sickens me.

Doesn't matter. He was a winner until he did this act. he is now a big loser. Everyone should forget about him and strike his name from the annals of Wrestling...he's an embarrasment to it now and the human kind.

i think that vince mcmahon is a bum for acting like he didnt know what was going on.he tells these wrestlers if they want to make money that this is what they need to do. sure nobody told him to take them and he had other problems but mcmahon pushes these guys so hard to perform that eventually these guys crack and unfortunatley innocent people get hurt or die

Anyone who is "inspired" by one of these phonies of the WWE really, really, REALLY needs to get a life! Really!

"drunker than a skunk ... and pushed Benoit over the edge, or attacked and he had to defend himself." Blame the victim. What a joke. Listen Dave, your theories and $3.95 will buy me a latté at Starbucks.
