Have your say about Chris Benoit
Thu, September 13, 2007

Canadian Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday.

Steroid use also has lingered as a theory, since anabolic steroids were found in the home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

i have been a consistant wrestling fan since i was about knee high . i watched the sport of wrestling transformed again and again .i've had my favorites and the not so favorites.... to be honest chris has always been my least liked wrestler because of his scornful, uncouth ,arrogant demeana //// i thought it was just his stage persona had no idea it was his real character.. i'm soo sorry to all who loved him

Yes, it is a tragedybut it might not have been just steroids that coused this to happen.

Chris might have had a brain injury that was not didacted by his doctors.

Brain injurys have been Known to change person persanalty to the extrem opposite and couse very simalar side effects like depression, paranoia. If he was also taken presribed steriods for sport injurys it might have increases them to that point.

Beniot - murderer and coward. Praise him all you like but it won't change the fact he murdered two people and hung himself rather than face his crimes.

i think that what the families are going through is totally terrible and that it is nothing ANY family should go through!! but all im saying is wait for all the correct facts to come out! who knows that FOUL PLAY may have occured here and now people all over the world are slamming the name of chris, for all we know the media have TOTALLY EXAGERRATED the information given them and come to a mild conclusion of the events that happened leading upto the deaths of chris, his wife and beloved son! i for one shall not be passing judgement untill i get the correct information, if he commited murder then there is no excuse for his actions! but the human body can create such mind tricks that as a humans we have no control over. and adding roids onto that is just a ticking time bomb, but again if foul play has occured then think that some horrid person is still out on the loose and everyone should feel bad for their judgment theyve passed of the family!

my thoughts are with chris's family and the family of his wife and other children!

RIP all 3 of you, hope all 3 of you suffer no more pain!

I think everyone is too quick to judge. There is no proof, other than his prescence at the scene, that it was HIM that killed his wife/son. It is very possible that he came home to find them that way and took his own life out of grief. ANYONE could have sent those text messages from his phone. Has anyone even addressed how someone so short in stature could have gotten himself up onto that pulley in the FIRST place???

My other theory is that there was a discovery of something horrible like a terminal illness which was the cause of his son's stunted growth. That could have driven him over the edge. He was a devoted family man, and a true superstar in his profession, and deservedly so. He will be missed. Please remember him as he lived, not how he died.

CANT BELIEVE HE HAS DONE THIS. I SAW HIM IN APRIL AND I AM GLAD I WENT. ALL MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH THE REST OF THE FAMILY, WHY BENOIT!!

Wow, I didn't know there were this many judges in the world. josef and others with the same attitude, your ignorance is abundantly clear. How can you take something like this at face value? People tried to blame the first VT fatality on an ex-boyfried with a gun fetish, and that at face value seems pretty legit to do. Now 30 sets of parents want answers because they believe the police didn't do their job.

Those that have lost respect for Benoit because of his TV persona have to face reality - his personal life and his work life are two different people. Wait, Vince McMahon isn't dead??? I saw his car blow up. That's right, it's a show. None of us have a right to lose any respect for Benoit the wrestler, and even less of a right for Benoit the human because for the most part none of us knew him. Did he do it, I don't know, and it's not for me to prove. The police will do their job and hopefully get it right. I will not judge Benoit as should nobody else, that's for God to do. To those that choose to judge now, one day you may too face a judgement, hopefully others will show you a bit more compassion.

To the entire Benoit family, I pray you have the strength to endure this, and the will to carry on. Put your trust in God and you will make it through. And to Chris, Nancy and Daniel, may you all rest peacefully now.

Very sad that he felt he had to do this: but when in the depth of depression it's very hard to see that things aren't as bad as they really are. I still see him as a great wrestler, but I now see him as a real person with an untreated mental disease. What triggered that depression? The recent deaths of his wrestling fans? The demotion to ECW? Sadly we'll never know.

Nothing more, nothing less, but a coward. You do not take the life of your own loved ones. If things are that messed up you walk away.
Mats, 2007-06-27 10:24:22

if you are that unhappy off yourself, not your family. For the WWE to have a tribute to him, that is a joke it is like having a tribute for Paul Bernardo, they are both killers, regardless of why they did what they did
