Have your say about Chris Benoit
Thu, September 13, 2007

Canadian Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday.

Steroid use also has lingered as a theory, since anabolic steroids were found in the home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

There has been alot said about Benoit.I have been a wrestling fan for as long as I can remember.I was always a big fan of Benoit. When I first heard of the death of the Benoit family I was very sadden by the news, and when the facts had been released about hoe Chris killed his wife and son I had a change of heart concerning Chris,I stilll have sadness for his wife and son.I will keep his wife and son in my thoughts and prayers but for Chris I have lost every bit of respect for him as a person and wrestler.I know he is in hell now and I hope he burns for ever.

I truly lost my confident on Chris and also with the WWE. I can't believe that the WWE put him on a mantlepice to tell us how great he was. He's a coward as far as I'm concerned. To actually kill two innocent people just because he wasn't gettin what he wanted. I'm done with the wresling shows or what ever you want to call it. Who cares now. I don't.

The tributes paid to Chris Benoit were for the public man. The show paid tribute to his wrestling skills which were great. Chris Benoit the private man had demons that caused him to kill his wife and son and finally take his own life. There is no excuse for that, steroids or not. I will agree with the WWE that this was not a case of 'roid rage but a premeditated act. At this point I think the only answer is to pray for all those affected by this tragedy.

To the family and friends of Nancy and Daniel my heart aches. As for Benoit himself may your days in hell haunt you.

Being a local from Edmonton, Alberta, I have always loved watching Chris Benoit perform. To hear this tragic news is deeply saddening. To be honest, I hope it does turn out to be Roid Rage, then at least we will have an understanding into what has happened, and to the extreme dangers of anabolic steroids. Until then, I will not choose to remember Chris Benoit as a homicidal maniac as some people are implying, but as one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time. Chris, god speed, have fun up there with Eddie & Owen. We will miss you.

I am completely disgusted by the fact that the WWE would hold a 3 hour tribute to a child killer. I don't care what you say in defence, the initial facts bare minimum would be 3 corpses, one of them hanging. That does not equal 3 hours of praise. You can't spin a murder suicide.

Furthermore, I am disgusted with Canoe for propegating this killer in any way other than disgust.

REGARDLESS of anything else he did, he killed 2 human beings and then himself a day later.

Now that being said...

I was in an airplane watching this unfold on a Bell feed of Fox news. I clearly heard the reporter confirming that there was a gun there, that the gun had been used the gun on the 7 year old, that there were 'implements of murder' on the scene, etc.

I found it incredible that when I got home, a shooting and 2 bodies had turned into a strangling and a smothering followed by a hanging.

1. A gun is completely different from a pillow. How would a sherrif get this wrong? A gun implies blood and gore. a pillow smothering implies a corpse.

2. A skipping rope and a pillow do not constitue 'implements of murder'. Yes, it was fox news reporting it, but these early reports completely contradict this new storyline that came out yesterday. If anyone has any insight into this switch, please fill me in.

Highly suspect. Full disclosure please.

To those that said that the WWE is sick of giving tribute to this murderer, let me point something, they only found out on Tuesday like the rest of us of what he did, after that all tributes such as videos and condolences were removed from the website.

I just can't believe what happened, I have two kids and who I love with all my heart and a wife who I adore, I don't care what kind a mental state you are in , it is inexcusable to do what you did Chris.

I do send my condolences to his family and his wife and remember this Chris, from what I read you have two other kids from a previous marriage, which are going scarred fro the rest of their lives because of the heinous things you have done.

Chris I hope you rot in hell

I say wait until the drug test come back. You are not guilty until proven. I think chris ought to be given that chance until the cops find out for sure. I have watched him for years and i can't see him being that kind if person. And i find it hard to believe that he would take his wife and sons lives , unless he was under the influence of something. May god bless him and his family that is with him in heaven and the family he left behind.
