Have your say about Chris Benoit
Thu, September 13, 2007

Canadian Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday.

Steroid use also has lingered as a theory, since anabolic steroids were found in the home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

I believe that a person is to remain innocent until proven guilty and until all of that facts of the case are presented, people should stop turning what facts we do know into unfactually alligations.

I haven't really watched wrestling in years, but I remember when Chris and Nancy surfaced in the WCW. I didn't like the things the Horsemen did but I always had a soft spot for them. I can't believe that this has happened. It is a sad tragedy and will weigh on our hearts forever. It just goes to show once again that fame and money doesn't solve anything, they are still real people just like the rest of us. Rest in piece guys!

everyone should let this rest for the time being. we will find out what has happened soon, there are 3 people dead. let their families deal with this and try to understand this senseless act!! offer their souls to god and prayers may help them. until the next time rest in peace!

I still find it hard to belive that Chris killed his family and have the police looked at any one else besides chris have they checked to see if any thing is missing from the house? Have they even thougt of looking for any one else maybe someone broke in and killed the family they should at least check into it dont you think

All the good we do in life is overshadowed by any bad things. Face it, Chris Benoit is a murderer just as any other killer is. Sure I enjoyed his wrestling, but I can't praise anyone that murders. I hope he rots in hell as he should

I'm very puzzled at the events that have happened. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Whats most puzzling is the fact their blaming this on steroids. Yes he may have been upset, but to place bibles next to the bodies suggests he wasn't in a total rage. Instead he was thinking with some logic as to what he had done. If he was in a rage state of mind he would have just left it at the killings. I maybe wrong in my thinking, but think about it. The other real puzzling thing about this situtation is the text messages he sent. I've read what the newspaper have said about them, but what if they were a cry for help that no one really responded to. I really don't know . The only ones that do are himself,Nancy. All we can do is speculate.

Come on! Quit glorifying this! He murdered his wife and son and then killed himself. I'm glad the WWE saw it fit not to post any more tributes to him!

I'm sorry but this story is just too deliberate and well planned for a person to commit in a rage of some sort. I personally believe it's very possible that Chris Benoit and family were murdered by some people that knew how to stage it so that it looked like a murder/suicide. Maybe there should be more investigation.

why are a lot of you defending mr. benoit saying he may well have been one of the best wrestlers of our time, is like saying john wayne gacy was one of the best clowns of all time. give me a break, they were both murderors.this guy is was a punk, how can you ever kill your own kid?
joe, 2007-06-27 20:18:42

Well i have had a few days to absorb this, I think the only way i can ever deal wih this is remembering Chris Benoit for who he was and not what he became. The details have gotten worse and worse, but some of them, especially the statement about Chris placing bibles show he was remorseful and his suicide i believe was also a sign that he was desperate and grief stricken. When O.J Simpson allegedly did what he was accused of doing, you know what i mean?, it did not change the fact he was one of the greaest runningbacks of all time, much the same will Chris Benoit be remembered, he was the best wrestler in the world and maybe top 5 all time and maybe down the road he deserves a Hall of Fame induction. I am 25 years old and this situation, all the events surrounding it, plus the players involved have turned me off of WWE for good. I pray to God for Nancy, Daniel and especially Chris Benoit and i hope that an Organization or wrestler comes in down the line and restores my faith in the business which once consumed my life.
