Have your say about Chris Benoit
Thu, September 13, 2007

Canadian Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday.

Steroid use also has lingered as a theory, since anabolic steroids were found in the home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

well i dont know but with everything that the media is saying just does nt sound right to me i think he got set up. someone murder his family and then him.but im not sure its just when it first came out wwe said that he left where they were because there was a family emergency.why would he leave to go kill his family?and now wwe dont want a tribute to him the friends that knew him should have a rite to say what they feel about him.

it kills me how the police have already put most of the case together; all we are waiting for is tox reports.... the dude killed a handicapped dwarfed child--- some hero... all that erases any good that you may have seen. I don't care if its roid rage; premedated or mental illness; he was a monster.

I was stunned at the news of the death Benoit and his family, but since I wasn't on hand to see for myself what happened in that house I will wait to find out what happened after the authorities have completed their investigation and tox screens have been released before I make any sort of of judgement. I believe Vince McMahon handled Monday's tribute the way he should have and understandely Tuesday's comments as well. I think that all speculations should be put to rest, if not for Chris but for respect for the rest of his family which includes two more children.

I am going to keep this very simple. Chris Benoit. What ever the news reports about you; I will have to see and witness to believe. I can only comment on Benoit the TV personality. Chris Benoit; YOU WILL BE TERRIBLY MISSED! You were, are, and ALWAYS will be a credit to the purity of Professional Wrestling as a whole. Not just WWE and Sports Entertainment. You reminded fans of what wrestling used to be. I have been a fan for 25 years. I am 26 years old now. From time to time, I get my fill of outlandish unnecessary storylines (The presumed death of Vince McMahon now being at the top of the list!). But every time I saw Benoit, I knew it would take me back to when the sport was pure, complete, and didn't require over the top antics in order to be entertaining. The wrestling world will miss you Benoit. Heaven needs you now. Just don't put any of the angels in the Crippler Crossface. But give a few of the badies a diving head butt for the rest of us down here. My love and respect for the Benoit family. Always

This is a true tragedy, we should not forget that he had 2 other children who will have to carry this burden. Our paryers go out to them and the rest of his and Nancy's family and friends.YES he was one of the best wrestlers ever but at the end of the day a snake is still a snake. For Chris' family I pray that they can find peace somewhere in this situation. If he did indeed kill himself he took the cowards way out and in my eyes makes him less than a man, as for killing his wife and child I do not think it was out of rage. The murders were ended with a bible beside them why? I guess we will never know. I agree with the WWE For stpping all tributes to Chris. How can you send priase and admiration to a man who could do this?

Chris was a wonderful and talented wrestler. I think people are to quick to judge all the facts are not in so how can you judge him and call him a coward and a murderer. He very clearly was asking for help and got none. WHY??? I will always love and remember Chris. My deepsest sympathy to his and Nancy's families. I do not believe that Chris killed his family and shame on you vince for deleting everything related to Chris before the invetgation is complete.

If it is found that he murdered his family, the guy is a big time loser as alot of people looked up to him. If guilty all the positive remarks about him should be striken from anything to do with sports & wrestling in general. It's too bad for wrestling but personally I can't watch it as it is too phony for me.

i cant belive what i am reading everywhere, if he was a regular joe everyone would call him a coward and a loser but b/c he is famous he is being honered and remembered like he died in an accident or from some other incident, why are people forgeting that there was an innocent child who's life was taken by the person who is the one who should have been protecting him?

i think people need to get over the famous "persona" and realize Chris Benoit was nothing but a coward and a bully, all his achivements are tainted by this, maybe now everyone will see how he really was

I have not read one comment here that makes sense. No man is perfect. Can any one know what was going through Chris Benoit's mind. Everyone is quick to jump "murderer". At some point in time people lose all sense of reality nd can't cope. This certainly does not make happened right.Only GOD will the reasoning behind this. We will never know. So please don't speculate on this on that. It only makes you look more stupid. Chris Benoit was one the best Canadian mat grapplers and technicians of our time. Many greats have perished for what ever reason.Yes it comes as a shock, but entertainers are no different than us. They are humans. At some point this past weekend, Chris could not cope with life. And when that happens, situations like this occur.Chris was a great wrestler, lets remember him for that.
