Have your say about Chris Benoit
Thu, September 13, 2007

Canadian Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday.

Steroid use also has lingered as a theory, since anabolic steroids were found in the home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

I am not saying that what Chris Benoit did was right, but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around all this. Regaurdless, of what he did now, he was still seen in the eyes of many, as a great person, a great wrestler and us Canadians were always proud that he was a part of us! I feel betrayed and lied to. It is so disappointing to think that someone you thought so highly of, has done such a horrible thing. This was a man we let into our homes once a week for years, cheering him on and being proud he was from our home town. What is the world coming?

PLEASE... get this idiot off the front page of your website. I'm going to change home pages if I log on here one more time and see his face on the front page. This story broke 3 or 4 days ago already!

It so sad to see someone who could have had it all, waste it all.

I watched him wrestle for years and enjoyed his matches.

What he did on the weekend, will erase any good memories I have of Benoit. Your upset with life and everyone has their own problems, you want to kill yourself, thats your business, but DON'T kill your inocent child and wife, for that Chris I can never forgive you.

May your wife and child rest in peace, and your two other children, not be burdened by your horrible actions.

You were not a man in real life...

I am totally shocked!!! Not in my wildest dreams would I have thought it possible for this loving father and husband to kill his family. How tragic that their lives were cut short. My deepest sympathy to the whole family of the benoits, nancys family and the wresleing community. May god bless you all. I can only hope now that the Benoits will now rest in peace. Sincerly a devoted wresling fan cindy

Chris Benoit WAS NOT I repeat NOT A COWARD, to anyone that said he was a coward, obviously does not know the meaning of a coward. A coward could, and would never be able to do such an act, check up the word coward, and you will see that this does not apply to Chris Benoit, his was a lost; troubled soul, who did something very, very wrong, and may he rest in peace, along with Daniel, and Nancy.

Stop making excuses for him!!! Plenty of people take steroids and don't kill their wife and child! He obviously was not the man we thought he was...

We are looking for a way to understand this. There is no may and no excuse.

RIP Daniel and Nancy

I really liked Chris, however in light of his last few moments here on earth it's kind of hard to remember all the great things I thought of him all these years, all the pay per views and cross face cripplers. No one can dispute that he was a great wrestler.I saw him live he was great.I just find it hard to forgive a person (Benoit or not )for such a terrible crime.I hope one day the truth will come out and we get the whole story. And for now rest in peace Benoit family.you will be missed.

Please stop calling him names and think about what people would think of you if you did the same thing. You know what it has been proven in the past that things don't always turn out as they seem.I think it is best that everyone just stop with all of this.As for most of you, you don't know if one day you will wake up and the same thing has happened to you and your family, things just happen and no one knows why. When you call someone nams it is only because you find that it is the only way to deal with what you see. I wish that the friends and family could so somthing about people calling him names and all of that.I wish Chris could tell us what happened. I think it is time to put Chris,Nancy and Daniel to rest. So that the family and friends can to the same. I will say it again if you were never close to him than stop acting like you know everything because you don't!!!!! No one will ever know what really happened except for the ones who are gone from this world. Iam really really sorry to all of the people who lost Chris,Nancy and Daniel. I hope that you will not let all of the bad stuff get to you. You have enough to worry about. R.I.P CHRIS,NANCY AND LITTLE DANIEL I will make sure that the turth about what happened to you gets out.

Love Always and Forever Stacey

Come on! What's worse is that people are glorifying Benoit!

Naturally, I'm torn on the WWE's comments. What else are they going to say ("Steroids were not an issue"). I will give Vince McMahon his credit in that he decided not to do anymore tributes on his ECW show and on Smackdown.

I have a huge problem with people who glorify a person who brutally murdered his wife who nothing but stood by him.

And it's unconscionable to me that he'd murder the young son who thought his daddy was amazing!

I do agree that he does not deserve our praise, let alone praise of any kind.

In the end, it should go down in wrestling annals that he was a selfish jerk!
