Have your say about Chris Benoit
Thu, September 13, 2007

Canadian Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday.

Steroid use also has lingered as a theory, since anabolic steroids were found in the home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

I am truly saddened by the events of last weekend. To me it is very apparent that Chris was suffering from emotional or mental problems. I wish that there was some other explanation for what happened, but I realize that we may never know exactly what happened in that house.

I am extremely curious to find out who changed the Wikipedia website BEFORE hours before the police were informed there may have been a problem. At 12:01am Monday the website was changed to say the Chris Benoit missed events due to the death of his wife. Did someone know what had happened and had done nothing? Personally I find it strange that at the point the website was changed both Nancy and Daniel were dead but there was no mention of Daniel's death.

This is a tragic incident and it is incredibly unfortuate that people are forgetting the amazing career Chris had as well as the lives he touched and kids he inspired. I will remember his career, not that he killed his family. My thoughts go out to his family as well as Nancy's family.

How about everyone wait for the toxicology results to come back before jumping to baseless conclusions? I forgot; this would make sense. Of course, the media here in the USA like Nancy Grace on CNN Headline News, and probably some of the ones in Canada will NOT agree with my views because all they care about is getting their beloved ratings points without throughly investigating what's going on. Sad, but true today.

"I feel real bad for his family but..." there are no buts; it was double homicide. There are hundreds of people on death row that have done similiar murders and there are no excuses for them. All the people that are Benoit fans and can't grasp reality that he became a monster and that it really wasn't him... need to wake up and realize that this goes on all the time and just because he was famous and a great wrestler doesn't diminish the cold blooded murder that occurred.

I am still 100% convinced that WWE received the text messages are knew what had happened. Let the investigators do their thing; but as for you people who think they "knew" what Chris was really like; there are lot of death row inmates whose mothers thought they knew their sons too.

Just my take on this sad story. Drive drunk and kill someone and you're guilty. Take steroids and kill and you're guilty even though you were some kind of wrestling hero. Hey, these pros know who's going to win before the match starts.

I was compelled and inspired to write a song as I caught a glimpse of the Headlines tuesday morning on the Benoit Tragedy.

I have composed, recorded and posted the song at please read the lyrics and listen to the song let me know what you think

thank-you for your time Cort Delano

Such a terrible waste of lives. WWE has something to answer for. Its clear that to be a top performer there you need to be one of the "big guys". Look at how the physiques of angle, HHH, eddie and benoit changed over the years. The needed steroids to be put in the main events.

I find it amazing that people are holding tributes and memorializing this person. Face it he killed his wife and 7 year old son. He does not deserve to be honoured, his name should be stricken from all records and history books. He was a murderer. If it was a non famous person who did this he would be called a monster. That is what he is. All these people who say he wasn't capable, get over it obviously he was and he did do it. There is no excuse for his actions. I consider him a coward for what he did.

I wonder what some of these people would say if this happened to your family as it did in mine just this pass January!!

We as the public don't know what happened in that house!Yes he did kill his wife and son but I don't believe that "ROID RAGE" is what happened. It seems people are forgetting that this man still has a family 2 kids and parents and sibblings and so does his wife......As my family member has 3 kids, parents, and sibbling!!We try to talk positive to the kids to tell them that their father is sick and he his!! I just wish that people would think before they send their hate mail of their family that they left behind.Do you people not think that those families have enough to go thru right now whitout us adding to it!!To Mr. Bruce Hart it is funny that you are the only one that is coming out with"It was no surprise to you" as your brother Bret as been on several shows saying that he never seen this in Chris plus other WWE STARS HAS SAID THE SAME THING!!When was the last time you seen him??

To Steve Austin ex wife that said last night if she would've talked sooner maybe Nancy and Daniel would still be alive.....What exactly is she talking about abuse, steroids what?? Their story was all over the tabloids when it happened!!

To those people that are probably trying to get back in the limelight for 15 minutes, your story should've come out before this!!It is terrible what happened we might never find out exactly what happened but we as adults should stop passing judgement on something we know nothing about....let's wait for the facts and remember their are still family members living that are trying to cope with what happened!! Let's try to have some sympathy for them!! My heart goes out to the Benoit family and the Daus family.Let's face if it was your son, brother or father you would not want to hear everyday the "MURDERER" let's have a little compassion for the rest of their families. His other 2 children will live with this the rest of their lives always wondering "why".

All I can say is that I am baffled and shocked at such a horrible act but I do feel that steroids did play a part in this terrible tragedy.

I like everyone else was in shock to hear about the deaths, but I am tired of hearing of all of this lets just remember who the 2 people who are suufering the most,Benoit's 2 daughters it must be very hard to go through there lives knowing what there father did.
