Have your say about Chris Benoit
Thu, September 13, 2007

Canadian Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday.

Steroid use also has lingered as a theory, since anabolic steroids were found in the home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

This is devastatingly sad, heart-wrenching, and as well as feeling for the families, my sympathies go out to the Harts and Chris Benoit's former Dungeon mates, as this must be very hard for them. It is also extremely eerie that Wikipedia was modified before the tragedy was even discovered.

It is that they've died is a tragidy.

Because everything they were ever going to be is gone.

How they died is trivial.

Never to be really understood.

Under a microscope we are all flawed.

Remember to love thy closest neighbours, our family.

if people blame steroids on the chris benoit tragedy then every wife of an NFL player must be very nervous.

I'm totally in shock by the happenings with Chris Benoit, Chris was always my favorite wrestler of all time, I admired him for his pure wrestling ability and his seeming view on wrestling, that he was dedicated to being a pure wrestler, I can't wrap my mind around the tragedy, I can't seem to accept that the man I admired could do what he did.

At this point, I don't really care what the investigations turn up. Chris Benoit entertained me consistently for over 20 years and that is how I will remember him... a talented man who impressed so many all over the world with his skills as a wrestler and a performer.

My prayers go out to the Benoits and the extended families.

The few things that are bothering me are lets say for arguments sake he did do it due to Roid Rage how long does roid rage last if he killed his wife on friday his son saturday and himself sometime sunday or early monday does this roid rage last this long?

I mean 3 days living with your family who you killed (if he did it) in the same house as you thats a sign of a nutter and what i can gather chris wasnt a nutter .

Surely with recent events and him loosing the title wouldnt drive him to this on the outside he adored his family .

And the Anon posting on his blog on wiki posted from standford (wwe headquarters is there funny enough) 1201 am EDT 14 hours and 29 mins before police found the bodies.

the post reads :Chris Benoit was replaced by Johnny Nitro for the ECW Championship match at Vengeance, as Benoit was not there due to personal issues, stemming from the death of his wife Nancy.”

The person who posted this says it was just acoincidence and nothing more.>_> i dont belive that for a second how did this person know nancy had died ? 14 hours before the police did and why didnt they inform the police it seems to me there is alot more going on than they are trying to make us belive .. thank you for reading ^^

I had been to Air Canada Centre to see the Main Event and Raw show in Toronto. Benoit was there and he looked great in action. That was May 28th 2007. Less than a month later he kills his wife their seven year old son and then himself.

I don't have a problem with the three hour tribute Raw did, if they had not been certain about what happened to these three people. All I know is Benoit was in a dark state of mind to have committed these heinous acts. I send out my prayers and condolences to his and Nancy's families.

I think it is sick and sad that people are atatcking WWE for this tragedy.

Forgive the expresion, but the "critics" smell the blood in the water and they are using this very sad tragedy to attack WWE. Many have called Benoit a monster. Those who have attacked WWE should look in the mirror first. Because they are not much better.

Chris Benoit and his family are dead, How about we DO NOT exploit them to serve other agendas

I felt like crying the first time I heard that Chris and his family were found dead but for some odd reason I cound'nt cause it was so shocking to hear.I wish nothing but for him and his family to rest in peace and I wish he was still with us to this day... I love you Chris Benoit! You will be rembered but not forgoten.

Why are people so surprised? Are the public who watch Pro wrestling on T.V.and scream and holler in their seats while watching these events also delusional.Do they really not know what goes on behind the scenes,or maybe they don't want to know? The public who pays the way for these roid rangers have to understand that their support of pro wrestling conributes to all the behind the scenes problems. When these wrestlers start down the road of steroid abuse, they have made a deal with the devil and these are the resultd. It's time the public woke up on this issue!
