the man should be banned from football for life

If he pleads guilty. Jail. Because he is pleading he will probably get probation. NFL should dump him. Now you get into the arguement is he needs a job some where. Why not the NFL. We'll see what the NFL stance is.

The NFL should wait until he's a free man and then suspend him for 4 years. If they give him a lifetime ban then people will debate that the suspension was too harsh. A 4 year ban could pretty much end his career because he wouldn't be able to stay in prime condition.

Vick should go to prison for at least 5 years. He should also be banned from the NFL for life and be slapped with a huge fine with at least half of it going to the SPCA'S.

Now we are learning that Vick drowned and hung dogs that didnt " perform " well enough. He is very disturbed!!!!!

Vick showed exactly what his character is with this whole mess: a backwoods thug who couldn't let go of his past ways even though he had multi-millions in the bank and a world-class future. Now he's going to lose it all because of a twisted hick pastime for paltry sums of money. Innocent until proven guilty you say? Yeah, that's why he's talking plea deal..because he's so innocent and all. Whether he plea bargains or goes to court, his NFL career will be finished, trust me. He didn't do enough in his career to justify loyalty from the Falcons over a heinous and high-profile incident like this. Bye-bye Vick....and to think, people thought Drew Brees was a lower draft pick than this guy lol...ability and potential don't always translate into success, and character always seems to get overlooked.

Now a report came out yesterday saying that Vick took part in hanging / drowning dogs that didnt perform well. The dog fighting till death is troubling enough, this new report is very disturbing! This guy needs professional help!

The owner called Vick a liar yesterday for not informing him or the league's office of the hangings / drownings.

to all you people that say vick is innocent until proven guilty in court how do you explain his actions of trying to get a plea deal done ?

Innocent people do not make plea deals.

vick now knows he is done, that 2 or 3 others involved have made plea deals and are ready to testify against him in court.

life time ban from the nfl, jail time and a big fine with half the money going to animal shelters is what vick deserves in my eyes.

Your sanctimonious diatribe on those who felt that what Michael Vick's done was immoral is laughable in light of the facts. As for giving Vick any sympathy, it is unwarranted and undeserved. He's not a man who succumbed to drugs, gambling, alcoholism, you know actual diseases that people get, no his fetish was watching dogs kill one another. What help does this man need exactly?? What therapy can make you a non-sociopath? Trust me that’s exactly what he is as he not only enjoyed watching animals kill one another but those that didn't peform he took it upon himself to kill, of course he did it in the most inhumane manner possible. This is a man who has millions of dollars; university educated; adoring fans, and was generally loved by all football fans(even though he’s done nothing in his career). If you can’t differentiate between his behaviour and those commentators you term as “MORALLY CORRUPT” and “MINDLESS”, then you have your own issues to deal with.

BTW, Vick to Carruth sounds like a great combination; I’ll wait for the “Longest Yard 2”

SICK. How I feel about what he did to those poor animals but what the mere sight of Vick does to me. Slap some gravy on the guy and put him in a pit with some of his angry animals. how about a huge donation to animal shelters?
Jane Dunlop, 2007-08-17 14:07:04

Suspend him for life. But let him play in the CFL so I can boo him a couple times a year in person.
