I, FOR ONE, will be ANXIOUSLY awaiting Mike Vick's COMEBACK STORY to unfold ...

Contingent upon him paying his debt, and reconciling all those PERSONAL DEMONS which put him in this position in the FIRST place - I can't wait to see which GM will have the COURAGE, and CLASS to offer Vick a SECOND CHANCE at LIFE.

Michael Vick is an ALL WORLD talent who made some questionable decisions ... I WISH nothing but the BEST for him, and his family in the coming years of HUMAN TRANSFORMATION and GROWTH.

Peace.

Well, I feel he should definitely be punished by sacrificing his career as well as his advertising contracts. He should also spend time in jail. This is a terrible crime and no matter how much money he has, he should never be able to "buy" his way out. Not now, not ever !

So many people mention what he did to the "under-performing dogs". What about the "performers"? In these types of fights even the "winner" is often severely injured. Since dog-fighting is illegal, what right minded vet is going to keep treating these dogs? None. Often the "handlers" play vet. Think of being in the most brutal fight you could imagine and your reward is someone without a clue "patching you up". But, we'll never hear the answer to that question.

Liar, Liar. (period!)

I am fed up with excuses that people make - attempting to sway onlookers opinions from 'this is wrong' to 'this isn't bad and it's not my fault'.

Vic's involvement in all parts of dog fighting is wrong PERIOD and he IS RESPONSIBLE for his actions.

Vic should not be able to bargain his way out time in jail, loss of employment & marketing income or fines.

There is plenty of honest talent in the world to fill his shoes - so Good Bye.

He should get the full wrath of the justice system. As for the CFL picking up the dregs of society because they can't play in the NFL,typical Canadian small town mentality.

We don't need Vick in Canadian football.

He wouldn't plead guilty if he were innocent, and if what we are hearing about drowning dogs is even close to the truth, he deserves a jail sentence. His career should be over. If the NFL cuts him loose, as they should, there's no way the CFL should pick him up. For better or for worse, pro athletes are also role models, and we don't need one like that. Let him pick up a shovel and sweat for his living like so many other ex-cons.

Regardless of what he SHOULD get, you have to factor in what the league sees in Vick...Money. Vick is exciting to watch and sells tickets. That being said, the league is not really short of exciting players. I figure the league will give him the minimum that will appease the public. Probably a year.

If he does get a lifetime ban, you will see him in the CFL. People will come out in droves and maybe he will put some life in an otherwise stale Canadian game.

should get 250k fine, probation, but miss no football - so but they really are just dogs - no matter how much you wish they were people - they are just dogs

Although this might be BAD NEWZ for Vick, it's good news for whatever dogs will not be subjected to his depravity. Too bad there are others who will still do this kind of thing.

What I would like to see happen to him is the same what he did to the dogs: beatings, electric shock, drowning, hanging. But that won't happen so the best one can hope for is that someone in prison can get to him and teach him a little humility.

Then when he gets out: no career, game over.
