What should happen to Vick? He should be punished by letter of the law. What will happen to him? He'll be the 6th starting QB of the season for Argos in a couple of weeks.

Heather ,you mention bull fighting not being addresed.I have not heard of covert bull fighting going on in the U.S. or Canada mabye Mexico or Spain.Garnet last i checked cock fighting was illegal as well.As for killing animals for food,it's supposed to be done quickly and humanly.

Please stop with comparing dog fighting to bull fighting or hunting. While I'm not a huge proponent of either they are not the same. Bull fighting pits a matador versus a large bull who can inflict a lot of damage and even death upon said matador. In Portugal, bull fighting is not a death sentence for the bull. They are never killed in ring, although they may be killed by a butcher at a later time, the fact is that they are often healed and sent out to pasture.

In hunting, it's at least regulated allowing for only so much game per person. While the hunter's goal is to kill the game for food or trophy there is no revelling in suffering and death is done in a humane and quick manner. No drownings, rape stands or electrocutions.

AS for the question at hand, that may be the dumbest thing ever posted.

It seems, according to latest news releases, Michael Vick will plead guilty to breaking a FEDERAL LAW. By doing so, he is admitting his guilt! What he is agreeing to is that he conspired to travel across interstate boundaries to engage in unlawful activities & to sponsoring of a dog in an animal fighting venue. So, people can no longer use the sobriquet of 'being innocent until proven guilty' - MV has just proven himself guity. Now, he must be punished for his crime.

As for the NFL, there is a 'morals clause' and rules against gambling of any sort. Mr. Vick appears to have shattered both clauses. Thus, he must pay the consequences - which, based upon at least one of the offenses, is banishment from the NFL for life.

In order to maintain a semblance of a moral society, everyone must be held accountable for their actions. I'm sure MV's actions will be handled in a justifiable manner.

Oh yes, Ted, my mother's expression was, 'You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.'

Ugliness breeds ugliness and to condone it in any form is reprehensible. Having had our eyes opened to such horror - we can not be silent.

The latest story on dogfighting comes out of NY. In this instance not only is there dog fighting and the abuse this entails .... THEY USE KITTENS AS BAIT !

They found 60 kittens in a house that engaged in dogfighting ready for the slaughter.

Let's stand together and SCREAM OUR OUTRAGE ABOUT THIS CASE TOO !

I am sickened by the horror those poor kittens before them endured before their tiny, innocent lives were crushed in the jaws of a man-made killer.

Decent people stand up and SCREAM, donate to support routing out and punishing "people" who abuse animals. Strict laws should apply - no slap on the hand !

Personally - I have zero tolerance for this - as in zero.

As for Vick ... since the 66 dogs taken from his property most likely will be put to death ... throw all the defendents into a pit with them. Let the dogs have their last meal.

NO ONE HERE HAS MENTIONED BULL FIGHTING. That too is barbaric & cruel. Also, remember that eons ago humans delighted in throwing Christians to the LIONS. The stands in the Colosseum were filled with rich & poor alike. Face it folks...we are all animals. Only our brain puts us above other animals and right here is an example of what occurs when the brain fails us!!

It is a dog so what? Rape, murder, assault and killing wild animals (endangered and otherwise) are crimes and destructive. Funny how chicken fighting is okay since if they lose we just cook them, in some countries they cook dogs too...Hey Mike here is some advice, next time cook the dogs then it is okay.

Why even pose such a question? Is dog fighting a sport? Well hang on, let me see...let me just put down my can of Busch and push my sister off my lap. Yup dog fightin shore nuff be a sport. Please. Here's a thought. "An animal that does not perform well and causes people to lose money due to not winning...hey sounds like mikey vick. So by his logic he should do the honorable thing.

Sure its a sport, lets put Michael Vick in a pit against a pitbull or two! If he doesnt perform well lets drown him or hang him.

Vick is one messed up person. If the NFL lets him back in, whatever team signs him I will not watch. I think its safe to say if he gets back in he is done with the Falcons. A story in the newspaper today says dog shelters are using Vick's shirts for bedding and rags to clean the cages.

Dogfighting is not a sport. I agree that anyone that thinks it is - is very disturbed. Unbelievably disturbed in my book.

What should happen to Michael Vick ... he should go to jail plain and simple. He is guilty of a variety of crimes. Many horrible in the eyes of decent human beings.

Should he be allowed to play football again ... Well, let's see the NFL has a policy against gambling. The penalty is being barred from playing for life.

The NFL is conducting it's own investigation and - Vick has to answer to the NFL.

The answer here should be plain and simple too. Zippo, nada, nope.

What are laws and policies for ?

They are to hold people accountable for their actions.

I don't care if you are purple, green, yellow, white, black or blue laws and conduct policies should apply to us all.
