absolutely he was trying to hit him. he stopped his motion, looked over at neidermeyer and turned his body to change the direction of his shot. there was absolutely no reason for him change directions. the period was over. ottawa has a great team with lots of good young talent. but in the end, its the rats like alfredson and chris neil that prevent me from liking them. he's a rat, plays dirty, has no class and i can't wait to see him get his. i hope anaheim puts parros in next game to fed iut to him just before they take the cup.

You sens fans are brutal. The minute somebody lips Alfie for a boneheaded play, you pull out your "Leafs Suck" card. That is why the Sens won't win the cup....Them and their fans are STILL consumed by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Get over it already.

To Billy and Robert Van Hoorn. Why do you guys digress to Leaf bashing in a forum about a deliberate shot at Niedermeyer by Alfie? Talk about the two teams IN the play offs. It seems some Senator fans are still obsessed with a team that is way out of the picture now. I wonder why?

I am a Leaf fan first and always!I have been trying to cheer on the Sens but Alfie was wrong to do that and i would not let that take anything away from the Team.Sens fans should quit "whining about the Leafs" get their own identity and move on to next year just like the rest of us. Always amazed @ Sens fans. Rather than admit defeat and reflect on what happened last night, they have to pull out there IQ cards with the "Leafs Suck" or "Blame T.O" card--get over it already and drop the paranoia. It was a dirty play by Alfie (and not his first) and the better team is winning. P.s--enough with the diving as well Sens!

It's Alfredsson, pure and simple. He intended to shoot at Niedermayer, the replay makes that obvious. The worst thing in all of this? His teammates also know just how classless an act it was. To lie about the intent afterwards only exacerbates his already poor leadership skills. Would you follow Alfredsson? I know I most certainly would not.
