Were the referees missing calls? Tue, May 29, 2007
Bryan Murray was seeing red yesterday.
The Senators coach doesn’t
want to instruct his players to do anything stupid, but Murray indicated if
the Anaheim Ducks are going to be able get away with hooking, holding and
obstruction, he’s going to tell Ottawa players to do the same.
Were the Ducks getting away with calls in Game 1? Have your say in our forum.
Watching the game, I wasn't aware of missed calls. I was certainly aware of the Sens turning the puck over at the Duck's line time and time again.

There were missed calls on both sides of the ice, Leonard Cote's idiotic comments notwithstanding. But the worst were the way the Ducks trapped (re: interference) throughout the game.

They`re not missing calls, they simpling choose not to make them. Where do you think refs get their direction. Collusion is not new, Betman wants certain markets to do well. He knows where the money is.

May I begin by stating that I am not a Sens fan, however Bryan Murray has hit the nail on the head. It is clear the NHL would like to see certain markets do very well. California being at the top of the list. We have all watched the slow witted, I mean footed, Chris Pronger get away with the clutching and grabbing for years. A message to the referees, call the game consistently before too many fans walk away. For good.

The referees were CLEARLY missing calls on Monday night, just like they have every Senators game this year. I lost count of how many knee-on-knees the Senators got away with in Round 1, and their whining and complaining has only gotten louder with practice. Someone needs to tell Bryan Murray to put his dentures in before games.
