How will the Barry Bonds scandal end?
Wed, November 14, 2007

Even if Barry Bonds is poised to break the home run record right there in Atlanta, Hank Aaron is not going.

Period. "I will never reconsider my decision," Aaron told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Tuesday from his adopted hometown.

Bonds is 10 homers from matching the 755 mark that Aaron set during a 23-year career with the Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves, and the Milwaukee Brewers.

What are you thoughts on the Barry Bonds saga? Have your say in our forum.

Hey Jimmy, why are you so all fired to send Bonds to jail for 30 years yet are willing to give the benefit of the doubt to Hingis for using cocaine?

As much as i despise barry bonds, Bud Selig should own up to his part in this whole mess. He knew what was going on and he did nothing to prevent it because all he cares about is money and ratings. He should be sharing a prison cell with "Mr.Steroids" and the rest of the cheaters...baseball isn't what it used to be and Selig knows it. Thats why he did what he did. He doesn't feel sorry or does he care about the game despite what he says cause actions speak louder than words.

Bonds is going to prison. The only question now is for how long. he could get 30 years which is the maximum but he wont because he will work out a plea and serve a few at least. His career is over, finally.

Larry

Caught cheaters never prosper, and even that can be debated.

Your allowed to lie to the public but not the Grand jury and if you do you go to jail unless your Bill fancy pants Clinton.

I've always found the unconditional support of Giants' fans for Bonds amusing. Steroids or not, they think his records ought to stand. Cheating is no factor to them and other of their ilk. What would be their attititude had Bonds instead spent his career with the Yankees or, even worse, the arch-rival Dodgers? I predict that all-time Home Run Champ Bonds will join all-time Hit Champ Pete Rose, on the outside looking in, when he's elligible for induction to the Hall of Fame. It'll be a sad day for baseball but a victory for justice and sanity. 'Cheater never prosper' was the lesson I learned as a child. Amen

Yes Jimmy I am saying its Grandstanding. I have read three articles so far on it on MSN, CANOE, and USA Today. All are saying a conviction is highly unlikely but that it has ended his career just by indicting.

O Rly

I'm saying that Raf could also be indicted for the same crime (lying under oath), but he was not
Ben TO, 2007-11-16 11:21:18

Ben you are right.

Bonds defense has started off with it being a personal vendetta. Nothing will come of this but it has ended Bonds career. The government has done everything they are not supposed to do so far in this case. They are using the media to get the results they want. It will flop in court. They know that. They have done the damage they want. Remember who owns all the media. White men. Martha Stewart tried to get up with the rich boy billionaires and they knocked her down a notch with insider trading charges that she lost on and then sent her to jail for perjury (like she was the first one to ever lie on the stand). now they are going after Barry Bonds.

LMFAO at you for saying this is grandstanding. Are you for real ? I told you the FEDS wouldnt let this go and they arent. Bonds is going to the gray bar hotel and I hope its for a very long time.

Yes they are making an example out of him, He used roids, broke the most storied record in all of pro sports. These charges are more serious than using so he will get jail time.

Maybe he can room with OJ LOL.
