As the puck by flew by Buffalo Sabres' goalie Ryan Miller's glove side in OT, Daniel Alfredsson raised his arms in the air, headed for the corner and waited with a smile as the Senators' greatest celebration as Eastern Conference champs was officially underway.
Will the Senators now be able to go all the way? Have your say in our forum.
Maybe if they were going to face the Ducks. But come on now, we all know Detroit is looking to make up for being taken out by a second rate team of failures last year. I will admit they will have to pick up their game but if any team is capable it is the Amazing Detroit Redwings.

i think they can go all the way for sure
they have the advantage of a few days off plus looking like the west will be a 7 game affair
the rest will keep the sens on edge and give them the edge to win the cup
will be nice to see a canadian team win the cup finally

The way they have been playing in this post season, it is going to take one hell of a performance to beat them! They are finally delivering on all the years of promise their great seasons have created. This year they aren't tight; they are resilient. They don't give you anything, and if you make a mistake, you pay. I really believe this is the year. The only real question left is: will it be another five game series?

The Sens will win for sure.
They are a truly great team ,and know what they are doing. Bravo for Ottawa Senators!!

In our small circle of friends and fans picking the various series, to date I am 10-3. Early on I said I had this premonition that it was going to come down to Ottawa facing off against the goalie that left them in the lurch last year. I still see it that way, and when it's all over and done with Ottawa will have the cup in 5 games, adding yet another oddity to the 80th Anniversary of the last cup win by an Ottawa team: all series won 4-1.

I hate Buffalo, but I hate the Sens even more. The Sens will do what every other Sens team before them...C H O K E!
The cup will return to the Western Division.

Wow I actually heard a nice comment from the broadcaster.. Oh wait I was listening to the Buffalo Broadcast as I couldn't take the CBC pro Leaf/anti Sens media..

Just winning the conference is a huge achievement.
If they keep up the pace they have shown since he start of spring they should have a great chance.
The hardest is yet to come.
