first it was "the Peguins will sweep them" then it was "they'll never get past Jersey" i believe this is the year and Buffalo knows it!

The Sens will never win the Cup. They might (although I doubt it) make it past the Sabres but the Ducks are going to take it all this year. Well done Brian Burke....the Leafs should have hired you & we would have had a cup in 3 years. Instead we ended up with Junior. Thank you for screwing us again Leafs brass....

No, not this year. It has been 80 years since they last won the cup, so they are due. It just won't be this year, though.

Huge Fan of Ottawa in Manitoba. This is the year. No hype about them all year. They are quietly making their stand on the ultimate goal. Sens, you make a retired soldier proud. Thank you

I think the sens will go all the way this time. They are playing their best hockey ever, as is Emery. Go Sens!
Oh, and nice name, RustyTrombone.

The Senators will win for sure.

Sens have the edge everywhere but between the pipes. I'd like to see Emery prove me wrong but he's just out of his league at this time of the year. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge Miller fan either but in this series, Sabres have the better choice in net and will win in 6. Sens should have kept Hasek for the pittance they were paying and they'd be the team to beat.

Alfredsson backchecking, hitting and digging on the boards. That says it all right there. Sens are willing to do whatever it takes to win and seem to have grabbed another gear.
Even Buffalo will have a hard time generating offence against them. Briere,Drury,Afinogenov,Pominville,Miller and co. only do their best work with some open ice and Ottawa gives none. Ottawa in 7. Should be an excellent series.
Senators vs. Anaheim in the final. Sens in 6. Yes I said it. Anaheim is big and tough but mostly young; even Pronger and Neidermeyer will have trouble playing against tight-checking Ottawa. Sens are deep with talented youth and veterans (Spezza,Alfredsson,Heatly, Comrie,Redden,Vermette etc.)Badly underrated all year, the Senators have something to prove and Alfredsson looks like he's on a mission. I repeat, Sens in 6 in Stanley Cup Finals.

The Sens have a good chance against the Sabres for the Eastern Conference, but I feel that whichever team from the west wins will take the Stanley Cup. All the same, I'm cheering on the Sens and hope they can pull it off. That being said, it wouldn't matter which Canadian team was in the play-offs at this stage, I'd still cheer them on over any US team!

Hey Peter (2007-05-08 12:43:02) I'm going to take a gues that you're a Leafs fan! 40 years of mediocrity tends blur ones view on what a real hockey team looks/plays like.
