Give me a break, he took the Raptors to the playoffs and was awarded coach of the year. The raptors get beat in the playoffs and you want to get rid of him? The Leafs didnt make it the playoffs this year did they call for the coach's head?

Rick Carlisle...ok we all know that mr colangelo WILL NOT sign Sam to a contract, but throwing carlisles name out there is crazy! Colangelo will not sign mitchell for the simple reason that he does not like working from a corner fighting outward. The Coach of the year award made it impossible for the raptors to get a deal that they wanted to get, and besides the man they want is Ivaroni. But, lets wish that the raptors bring back Mitchell and we can do this again

I have to agree with Wayne, although I do think he has done a fabulous job in the 2nd half of the season. Headaches for Mr. Colangelo because it looks like Rick Carlisle will be on the market soon...

He's still learning. Mistakes?
Most recent, He watched Jason kid 6'5" repeatedly back down the shorter guards guarding him but didn't pull out the shorter guard and replace with height (which he did in game two) Burn me once, oops, burn me twice something to think about. Burn me repeatedly, bad coaching, took game tapes to figure out.

There isn`t an option. What do you think will happen if the raptors offer him a weak contract? Someone else will cut our grass. How is he not stable, or cost us games? He took players and turned them into a team, and he has somthing else that few coaches have and thats the players` respect, and that alone makes him an obvious re-sign in the months to come.

He still has a losing record, and he does make mistakes that cost games. The team needs some stability though and who knows what a new coach will bring so I would say sign him to a short contract. Don't pull an Antonio Davis move or a Lenny move and sign him to a huge amount over a long term. We only get saddled with it. Are we not still paying for those mistakes?
