What's your view on the CFL hiring Mark Cohon? Thu, March 29, 2007
The CFL has a new leader in Mark Cohon, a 41-year-old Toronto resident with an extensive sports business background.
Cohon replaces outgoing Commissioner Tom Wright, who decided to leave his post at the end of December. He wants to get out and meet the fans, and make sure young Canadians become CFL fans.
Will Cohon's hiring bring stability to the CFL's commissioner's chair? Do you believe he will be able to grow the league beyond its current base of fans, and quite possibly make expansion work in Ottawa and the Maritimes down the road? Let us know what you think by sending us your thoughts.
This should be excellent for the CFL, the background of this guy is impressive. And all leagues have problems and main controllers, look at MLB, Steinbrenner and his buds don't want a cap while most other clubs do. And guess what, no real cap. It all works the same.

Typical CFL junk. A few owners, don't like the present commissioner and they raise enough stink to force him out. I am a CFL fanatic, but the ramblings of a few owners (Edmonton, and BC) are more important than the league as a whole. No wonder I hate both teams. I think this new commissioner is a joke, who will quickly overstay his welcome.
