Toronto's Cadougan helps Marquette stun Orange
Former Eastern Commerce standout hits clutch free throws
By RYAN WOLSTAT, QMI Agency

Few gave them much of a chance but Toronto’s Junior Cadougan and the Marquette Golden Eagles are going to the Sweet 16.

Marquette became the second No. 11 seed to make it through, taking out No. 3 Syracuse 66-62 on Sunday night in Cleveland.

Though Marquette was held to 41.2% shootin gby the Syracuse zone, a 19-7 made free throw edge proved crucial.

The steady Cadougan, who battled back from a devastating injury last season, contributed nine points and three assists, along with a clutch rebound and free throws to ice his team's second victory over the Orange this season.

Next up for Marquette is a date with mighty North Carolina in Newark, N.J.
