HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Mississippi State forwards Elgin Bailey and Renardo Sidney have been suspended following a fight caught on camera in the stands during the Diamond Head Classic.
Bailey and Sidney were part of the team's contingent in the stands while waiting for their game to start when the players got into a scuffle and had to be separated.
Athletic director Scott Stricklin tweeted the suspensions on Friday, saying the length will be determined "by their attitude and behavior going forward."
Stricklin added that the behavior was "embarrassing" and will not be tolerated. The two players have been sent home from the tournament.
Sidney has appeared in just two games this season, though he is averaging 15.5 points in those contests. Bailey has averaged 5.8 points in 12 games.
