LAS VEGAS - Raptors rookie Bruno Caboclo’s intensity is a major asset, but is also a bit of a hindrance at this early part of his career.

Basketball is not just a game for the ultra-competitive 18-year-old. He takes everything that happens on the court extremely seriously and is driven to win.

That is the major reason why he had a minor meltdown after leaving Monday’s 88-57 Summer League loss against Dallas shortly after getting ferociously dunked on and picking up a technical for a slight shove.

“He got upset because he felt like he was trying to do everything, try to help out, try to do defence, try to do offence, try to do a whole lot. He felt like whenever he went to go help, people were not helping him out so he was just getting upset at himself, at his teammates,” said Scott Machado, a point guard on Toronto’s summer roster who served as Caboclo’s interpreter after a practice on Tuesday.
