LAS VEGAS - Bruno Caboclo looked quite comfortable in his unofficial Raptors debut Friday.

While clearly still raw, the 18-year-old Brazilian looked far more advanced than expected. And his arms are as absurdly long and disruptive in game action as they promised to be.

Relaxed and confident, the Brazilian, who the team stunningly drafted with the 20th pick of the draft last month, had an early and consistent impact during Toronto’s 89-78 win in the Summer League opener.

From his layup for the first score of the game, right until the end, Caboclo was a factor throughout. He finished with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including 2-for-2 from three-point range, a block (that oddly did not show up on the boxscore, but we saw it) and a couple of boards.

“He could have done better. A couple of shots. Couple of turnovers, but he’s happy the team got the win and it’s all about the team win,” Caboclo’s said through translator, Eduardo Resende.
