Fittingly the final words the Raptors heard before they took the floor for Game 4 on Sunday came from Kyle Lowry.

The message was short and to the point: “Let’s be physical.”

He might have thrown an expletive in there but it’s a family newspaper and this series has already had enough expletives in it.

Coming from the guy who began the game limping and with countless other bumps and bruises that we could not see with the naked eye, how could they not heed his advice?

To a man the Raptors were kicking themselves for failing to match the Nets physicality until the dying minutes of the fourth quarter of Game 3. And to a man they swore it wouldn’t happen again.

Lowry had that last little reminder just beore they took the floor for warmups and then, to a man, they went out and lived up to the promise they made each other in a series-evening 87-79 win over the Nets.
