TORONTO - The war of words has already started, but Terrence Ross, though only a sophomore, is smart enough not to play into it.

Nets big man Andray Blatche went off late Wednesday after it became clear that Brooklyn would face the Raptors in the first round and after he was reminded of a few things Ross had said last month.

“S---, you better be careful what tree you bark up. He better be careful,” Blatche told the New York Daily News. “He’s probably just saying that because he had a good game against us. But I don’t think that’s really what he meant or what he really, really wants.”

Blatche also added that the Nets can beat anybody in a seven-game series and are playing “the best basketball right now in the Eastern Conference.”
