And with their 48th win, the 2013-14 Raptors established a franchise record for most victories in a season.

They would raise the banner to commemorate the club’s second Atlantic Division championship before beating the woeful Milwaukee Bucks 110-100 Monday night. The Raptors will play host to the opening two games of the NBA’s second season beginning this weekend against an opponent to be determined.

It’s all good with this group and with this year, but there’s so much more work that needs to be done that perspective has suddenly been lost amid the hoops euphoria.

Anyone who thinks this team is the best Toronto has fielded is borderline delusional.

Anyone who thinks this team can beat an elite team in a best-of-seven series is foolish.
