ATLANTA - Speed killed the Raptors for the second time in three days.

On Sunday it was the tandem of Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic of the Phoenix Suns.

Tuesday it was all Jeff Teague who scored 30 in a series of drives past and through Raptors defenders.

It wasn’t just the speed, but also the versatility of Paul Millsap that helped the Atlanta Hawks stave off a desperate and undermanned Raptors squad for a 118-113 overtime win.

Already down their most important reserve off the bench in Patrick Patterson, and then losing one of their two starting bigs when Jonas Valanciunas went out with back problems early in the fourth quarter, there were any number of reasons for the Raptors to lay down.

Somehow they got this to overtime, but once their the Raptors legs started to look heavy and those jumpers that were falling for the likes of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan earlier were hitting front rim.
