TORONTO - The news that Derrick Rose had suffered another devastating knee injury reverberated league-wide.
The former league MVP was just a month of games into his return after missing 11/2 years because of a torn ACL and now is expected to be sidelined for at least another six months after tearing the meniscus in his other knee.
Even though the absence of Rose could help the chances of other teams this season, nobody was happy to see him go down again.
“No matter what “rivalry” we have with the bulls.. Hope it ain’t serious for D Rose!” tweeted Indiana standout Paul George. Earlier this season George and teammate George Hill had verbally sparred a bit with Rose after Rose had played down talk of a rivalry between the two Central Division foes.
Battles on the court tend to give way once the games are over.
