Kyle Lowry will wear a splint for the next six weeks on the ring finger on his left hand, but it won't keep the Raptors point guard off the court.

Lowry strained a ligament in the now-splinted digit in Wednesday night's pre-season win over the Memphis Grizzlies. He skipped practice Thursday for a follow-up examination.

Lowry did not accompany the team to Milwaukee for the eighth and final pre-season game on the schedule.

The Raptors also announced Thursday night that they have exercised the third-year team options on the rookie scale contracts for both Jonas Valanciunas and Terrence Ross.

The options had to be picked up by Halloween.

A three-stitch cut to Valanciunas, a strained thumb suffered by Tyler Hansbrough and a bruised hip that prematurely ended Julyan Stone's game Wednesday are not considered serious.
