LAS VEGAS - Coby Karl isn’t done playing basketball just yet and thanks to the Toronto Raptors this summer, basketball isn’t done with him.

At the (for basketball) ripe old age of 30, Karl is back for yet another summer league.

The son of former Denver head coach George Karl, one of the legends of the NBA coaching ranks, Coby said he was ready to put his playing days behind him until the call from the Raptors came.

Now the 6-foo-5 guard finds himself one of a handful of subjects for a CBS/Showtime pilot about players trying to make an NBA roster here at the Las Vegas Summer League. Karl’s experience will be documented by a camera crew following him throughout the 11-day tournament.

In addition to Karl who fills the veteran player looking to make a comeback slot, they will follow a high draft pick, an undrafted player still striving to reach the league, and potentially even management types -- they have targeted new Sacramento GM Pete D’Alessandro.
