LAS VEGAS - Chris Wright is walking proof of the terribly thin line between NBA basketball player and wanna-be NBA basketball player.

Wright has a brief NBA resume consisting of 24 games with the Golden State Warriors in 2011-12. He made one start, played a total of 187 minutes and averaged 2.9 points a game.

Since then it has been plenty of action in the NBA Development League working to get another opportunity.

A year ago, Wright was here in Vegas toiling for the Raptors Summer League team and making an impression.

Three months later, that impression got him an invite to Raptors training camp along with another Raptors hopeful Jerel McNeal.

Both played well during training camp and throughout the pre-season, but it was Wright who left a lasting impression with the Raptors. McNeal returned to the D-League and was actually picked up by the Utah Jazz on a 10-day contract before he was signed for the remainder of the season.
