New Raptors general manager Masai Ujiriís second introduction to Toronto will be quite a bit more formal than the first.
The team will officially re-introduce Ujiri to the media and by extension the public Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Initially brought to Toronto in 2007 as the Raptors director of global scouting, itís not a stretch to say this welcome to Toronto will be a little more involved.
Ujiri has already been busy in the four days since accepting the job in Toronto, but there remains a lot of work and a number of key decisions to make.
Expect Ujiri to shed some light on that Tuesday but he canít possibly address all of his plans in his first public meeting.
Among those waiting to hear whether they will be remaining on staff is Maurizio Gherardini, the Raptorsí vice president of international scouting.
Reports out of Europe have suggested Gherardini was already angling for some job vacancies back there but in an e-mail exchange Monday, Gherardini said the reports were ďjust gossip.Ē
His position in Toronto with the Raptors remains his priority and heís waiting to hear whether he remains in the teamsí plans.
