Dwane Casey couldn’t stress the word enough.

“Compete” was the Raptors head coach’s word of the night — and it came up again and again in his post-game comments.

And it was rather appropriate after the Raptors followed up a stinker of an effort in Milwaukee with a solid performance from top to bottom in Chicago, a surprising 101-98 victory.

Not even some fight by the Raptors rookies and bench players in the waning moments of that forgettable night in Milwaukee — a 100-83 loss — could salvage much respect, but there was no shortage in that department Tuesday.
