For three quarters you had the feeling Dwane Casey might just throw down his clipboard and head to the locker room.
The game was just that frustrating.
Whether it was the turnovers his team was repeatedly committing or the second-chance points the Bobcats were gladly, and too often easily, converting, this one would have tested the patience of Mother Teresa had she ever been a basketball coach.
Fortunately for Casey’s sanity and for the sake of the 17,514 tortured souls who showed up, some semblance of normalcy began to play out in the fourth quarter as the Raptors pulled away for a 92-78 win.
The Raps gave up 26 points in a third quarter that seemed much, much worse than that. But in the fourth with the game still very much undecided, they buckled down and held the visitors to just 10 points, including a single field goal.
