BOSTON - No one should ever knock a kid such as Jonas Valanciunas when he leaves so much out on the floor, when so much promise gets shown on most nights.
Along comes a night such as Wednesday and the initials J.V. can easily equate into Junior Varsity, which pretty much summed up the entire Raptors.
With no Andrea Bargnani and Aaron Gray a mere afterthought, the rookie Valanciunas is the only legit big available, a piece the Raptors franchise will be pinning much of their future.
Granted, Valanciunas looked a lot more like he belonged on this stage when the second half against the veteran-laden Celtics began, but it was how the night would begin that would expose the greenhorn centre.
