Raptors' Bargnani likely won't be traded

Bryan Colangelo was provided with one final opportunity to judge the team he’s assembled, one last shot before Thursday’s NBA trade deadline expires.

In a perfect world, the Raptors GM would like to address Toronto’s toughness, which got exposed Wednesday night by the visiting Memphis Grizzlies.

A guard capable of running an offence in a backup role would be welcome, while a consistent shooter coming off the bench is always in demand at this time of the season, regardless of playoff positioning.

But in Raptorland, the biggest issue, at least among fans, is the fate of Andrea Bargnani.

It says a lot about his appeal when Ed Davis, who was sacrificed as part of the Rudy Gay trade, does a warmer reception than Bargnani.

From the moment he stepped on to the ACC floor, Bargnani looked completely out of sync, forcing his shot and missing often.
