Raptors' Ross hopes to be dandy on dunk day
By MIKE GANTER, QMI Agency

Raptors' Terrence Ross will take part in his first all-star game dunk contest on Saturday in Houston and he has been researching contests from previous years for a few ideas. (STAN BEHAL/TORONTO SUN)

Terrence Ross is a little more relaxed about he dunk contest.

Maybe it’s the practice or all the support he has had from his teammates — apart, of course, from Rudy Gay’s suggestion to just do a layup — but Ross seemed far more at ease discussing his plans for all-star Saturday night following practice on Monday than he did four days earlier when he first learned his invite had been confirmed.

Last Thursday in Indianapolis when he first found out he was in the contest, Ross reacted like a guy carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. He was anxious about living up to the expectations. He was anxious about coming up with something creative enough that would appease his growing number of fans. Bottom line, he was anxious.
