Beezer: Andrea Bargnani's gotta go

TORONTO - Is it time to trade Andrea Bargnani? Hell, yes. Bargnani’s a nice enough fellow with considerable skills, but for whatever reason he’s never been able to unlock his full potential with the Raptors, most likely because of his laid-back personality and the fact that he’s never really shown a deep commitment to defend or rebound. Bargnani doesn’t seem particularly thrilled to be here anymore and now the fans have begun to turn on him. The big worry of course, is that with his ability, under the right coach, the big Italian might transform into an all-star. As well, his stock is somewhat low right now and it might not be the best time to make a trade. Last year, before he got injured, would have been an ideal time for a trade. Still, in the spirit of the current rebuild, it’s time to deal him for some prospects or picks, but not for an aging and expensive veteran like Carlos Boozer.
