Raptors got a good one in Gay
By FRANK ZICARELLI, QMI Agency

Dwane Casey has seen enough of Rudy Gay to understand what impact the veteran small forward can have on games.

In some instances, Gay’s presence can’t be measured in any stat line, especially when opponents are forced to come with help on defence to force the ball out of Gay’s hands.

What the Raptors have seen in Gay’s three games in Toronto represent the tip of a basketball iceberg that promises to expand, which is logical given his status on the team.

In time, once Gay begins to get comfortable with the nuances of his new teammates, more sets will be run.

In time, when Gay’s teammates, no matter who eventually lands in Toronto, become familiar with his tendencies, the team’s newest go-to guy will have an even greater impact.

Yes, new GM made great moves
No, they will still be a terrible team
Unsure what to make of it
