A Rudy Gay top 10

TORONTO - Rudy Gay’s arrival sparks a host of questions in Raptor-land. Ryan Wolstat looks at five that immediately jump out, as well as five key things Gay brings to the table:

FIVE QUESTIONS

1. Who goes next?

Bryan Colangelo says he probably isn’t done, and we believe him. Another Kyle Lowry injury would leave the club in dire straits at the point. Subtractions need to be made at small forward (even if Gay and Landry Fields will play some small-ball minutes at power forward) and Andrea Bargnani’s time in Toronto has long since expired. Expect Bargnani to move first (Colangelo said it could happen before the trade deadline in three weeks if he comes back and re-establishes some value) and another backup point guard to arrive either in that move or in another.

2. Is Gay ready to be the face of the franchise?

He had better be. With his salary and his flashy game, Gay will be the guy marketed around. Lowry says his good friend is ready to meet expectations.

Do you like the new-look Raptors heading into the 2013-14 NBA season?
Yes, new GM made great moves
No, they will still be a terrible team
Unsure what to make of it
