Kyle Lowry the man, again for Raptors
By MIKE GANTER, QMI Agency

TORONTO - If there is a bigger winner in this Rudy Gay acquisition for the Raptors than Kyle Lowry, we haven’t come across him.

Sure, following the deal, Bryan Colangelo has regained some of the swagger that seemed to be on the decline within the strange workings of MLSE, but Lowry’s win is two-fold: He gets back the gig he has always wanted and it comes with the added comfort of playing beside his best friend in the game.

Brought in to be the man on this Raptors team in the off-season by Colangelo, injuries to Lowry and a decidedly poor start to the campaign by the Raptors managed to wipe out that plan.

For the past six weeks the Philadelphia native had been the backup to Jose Calderon. He was there initially because of injury but remained there because the team responded to Calderon in a way they didn’t to Lowry earlier in the year.

Do you like the new-look Raptors heading into the 2013-14 NBA season?
Yes, new GM made great moves
No, they will still be a terrible team
Unsure what to make of it
