Raptors live, learn in first half of season

TORONTO - As the Raptors begin the second half Wednesday night in Miami against a well-rested Heat squad, that 4-19 start to the season seems like a long time ago but it isn';t forgotten by any means.

The slow start, the result of injuries, some lapsed memories when it comes to the ever important concept of defending and even some chemistry issues as new bodies worked their way into the mix, remains very much a moral of sorts when it comes to where this team wants to get to.

Hard lessons like the one the Raptors learned early in the season are only productive as long as they remain a reference.
